Job Title: Loan Operations Specialist
Reporting to: VP Loan Operations

Position Summary
The Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for certain duties within the Loan Operations department. This includes but not limited to corresponding with the Loan Officer/Processor regarding loans. Processes and reviews all loan documentation and sends it to Loan Officer for closings. Assists the VP of Loan Operations in any area of the department needed. Manage processing and monitoring Tila-Respa Integrated Disclosures “TRID,” Home Mortgage Disclosure Act “HMDA,” and Loan Application Register “LAR.”
Duties/Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent, high-quality service to internal customers and maintain strict confidentiality in all bank matters.
- Review loan quality for the purpose of identifying potential credit and regulatory problems and ensure conformity to bank policies and procedures.
- Support VP of Loan Operations in achieving satisfactory regulatory and internal audits.
- Promptly and successfully complete all compliance training as determined. Attend department and company meetings/training which may be scheduled outside of normal work hours.
- Review all documentation in the loan files prior to processing for accuracy.
- Type loans and the supporting documentation for all loans.
- Clear any exception to any documentation.
- Upload all loans to the core system.
- Handles the force-placed insurance and monthly balancing of the general ledger.
- Maintenance of the system including extensions and modifications.
- General Ledger morning balancing and mailing statements to customers.
- Assist with the tracking of loans and working up paid outs.
- Assist the VP of Loan Operations in any area needed.
- Edits loans in the Core system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited school preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in loan processing, HMDA, TRID, and loan compliance or similar banking experience.
- Strong understanding of lending, deposit services, and financial products within a community banking setting.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Job Title: Universal Banker
Reporting to: Branch Manager
Position Summary
Serves customers by completing account transactions as well as opening new accounts, updating current accounts, and closing accounts including, but not limited to, checking, savings, CDs, safe deposit boxes, IRAs, and HSAs. Provides account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, and recording night and mail deposits. Sells cashier’s checks, traveler’s checks, and series e bonds. Cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs, in accordance with the bank’s program standards.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts and calculate daily transactions, using computers, calculators, or adding machines
- Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and check accuracy of deposit slips
- Monitor teller drawer to ensure cash balances are correct.
- Cash checks and pay out money after verifying that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree, and that accounts have sufficient funds.
- Enter customers’ transactions into computers to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
- Examine checks for endorsements and to verify other information, such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments, and the legality of the documents.
- Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customers’ accounts.
- Prepare and verify cashier’s checks.
- Process transactions, such as term deposits, retirement savings plan contributions, automated teller transactions, night deposits, and mail deposits.
- Answer telephones and assist customers with their questions.
- Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance.
- Carry out special services for customers, such as ordering bank cards and checks.
- Sort and file deposit slips and checks.
- Receive and count daily inventories of cash.
- Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide information about products or services, cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints.
- Open new accounts for new and existing customers.
- Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers’ problems.
- Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.
- Complete contract forms, prepare change of address records, or issue service discontinuation orders, using computers.
- Refer unsolved customer grievances to Branch Manager for further investigation.
- Solicit sales of new or additional services or products.
- Carry out special services for customers, such as ordering bank cards and checks.
- Complete all required online training including but not limited to BSA training.
- Perform other work related duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of relevant Teller experience preferred.
- 1+ years of customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Repeated movements.
- Use your hands to control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift/move/carry items up to 30 pounds.
